Anini Beach

What a GORGEOUS day--ALL day!  Perfect weather!  (And this was after a prediction of rain for the entire day.)  We spent the day at one of our favorite beaches, Anini Beach.  This beach is protected by a long, fringing reef and is one of the safest places for swimming on the North Shore (see why we like it?).  Is also a great place for snorkeling and after talking to some of the snorkelers (?) today I am almost ready to try it.

There is a camping area nearby that is filled with tents, tarps, cars, old VW buses, you name it--looks like a visit back to the 60's, same clothing, hair and naked children running around.  And there are even some older people there who ARE leftover from the 60's.  What a perfect place to live outside--the weather is basically the same year round.
Ke'e Beach is far as you can go by car on the North Shore, the road ends and the Na Pali coastline begins--Bali Hai is here (the famous peak filmed in South Pacific). And it's the perfect place to watch sunsets!

Another perfect ending to another perfect day!

  1. Glad you are having a great day! We are "enjoying" more white stuff coming in today, and it isn't beach sand!
