Tuesday, January 11

The first place we headed this morning was to Kilauea Bakery--we remembered the most incredible breads and baked goods and COFFEE and our memory didn't fail us! The loaf of molasses rye bread was still warm from the oven and that alone is worth a trip to Kauai--it's only made on Tues and Fri and there is often a line waiting for it to come out of the oven. YUM!

We spent the rest of the day 'hunting and gathering'--bringing in the winter supplies for our stay. We now have coffee, milk, and cereal so we're set. I have to keep saying winter because it's already FAR away in my mind. Such a glorious day--the top down on the car, the gorgeous scenery, the sweet smells as we drove by flowering trees. And the sunshine!!
The ocean picture was taken from the walking path--a little different from the snow which seems to be everywhere right now. Even Atlanta!
Our time zone changes are catching up with us and we are fading fast. Hope all of you are warm and safe.
